Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to join our clinical team in Texas.

You will receive and analyze specimens, report results promptly, and participate in quality control and safety programs to ensure accurate patient results. The position requires a Bachelor or relevant associate degree, national certification within 6 months, and ongoing participation in certification maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related field; or Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician with 10 years of work experience.
• Registered Clinical Laboratory Science – certified by national registry such as CLS(MLS), MT(ASCP), CLS(NCA), MT(AMT) within six months of hire.
• Techs newly certified as of 2004 must participate in a Certification Maintenance Program every 3 years.
• 12 months of structured training with clinical internship in hospital setting.
• Commitment and adherence to Compliance Program and Code of Conduct and reporting suspected compliance issues.

Responsibilities

• Receive and analyze laboratory specimens and report results in a timely manner.
• Participate in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, maintenance and safety programs.
• Assist in evaluating and writing procedures for new methods; participate in teaching and education.
• Perform duties with minimal supervision.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related laboratory science

Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician

CLS(MLS), MT(ASCP), CLS(NCA), MT(AMT) certification within 6 months of hire

Certification Maintenance Program every 3 years (for those certified as of 2004)

12 months structured training with clinical internship in hospital setting

Commitment to Compliance Program and Code of Conduct
