Qualifications

• Bachelors Of Science in a biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA., upon hire
• Preferred: multiple professional certifications in laboratory specialties
• Experience with clinical laboratory testing and regulatory adherence

Responsibilities

• Performs and reports waived, moderately complex, and highly complex test procedures on patient specimens adhering to SOPs
• Provides clinical correlation of results and rapid notification of critical values
• Ensures major automated equipment is operational via maintenance and calibration
• Performs calibration and quality control procedures and maintains records
• Participates in proficiency testing and reviews results with laboratory leaders
• Assists in evaluation and validation of new procedures and equipment
