Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA, upon hire.
• Strong scientific foundation and advanced technical proficiency required.
• Meticulous attention to detail and regulatory adherence expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report waived, moderately complex, and highly complex tests on patient specimens.
• Provide clinical correlation of results and notify caregivers of critical values within turn-around times.
• Maintain and troubleshoot major automated equipment; coordinate vendor assistance when needed.
• Perform calibration and quality control procedures and document results.
• Participate in proficiency testing and review results with laboratory leaders.
• Assist in validating new procedures and equipment with current lab technology.
