An established industry player is seeking a Laboratory Information Manager to oversee the implementation and management of laboratory information systems. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program approval, award amount (up to $200,000), and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the application.
The CLS, LIM (Laboratory Information Manager), is a laboratory professional who performs above full performance level. This individual spends significant time performing LIM duties over staff one grade below.
The candidate must demonstrate the following KSAs:
Applicants pending completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be considered tentatively but cannot be hired until all requirements are met.
Note: Foreign graduates' education must be deemed equivalent to U.S. education by an acceptable evaluation agency or qualified to take the certification exam by ASCP BOC or AMT.
Candidates must meet one of the following certification options:
At least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11, providing authoritative advice, resolving complex issues, and analyzing emerging trends.
The CLS develops policies, advises on LIS functions, implements coding and mapping, and serves as an expert for software testing and validation, ensuring regulatory compliance and training personnel.
