The Role

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Java Dev w/AWS and Angular to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build innovative, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Similarly, the ideal candidate is an expert engineer who values the “team”, drives continuous improvement and is unafraid to challenge the legacy status quo with creative cloud-based solutions.

Location: Cincinnati, OH (Remote)

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will:

• Understand software development principles and best practices.
• Have full stack development experience.

• Use DevOps and Cloud tools (Apigee, AWS, Kubernetes, GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Harness, CI/CD).
• Design, build, and support APIs.

• Coordinate with stakeholders for technical decisions.
• Drive cross-team collaboration and project execution.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
• Full stack development experience.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies, Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
• Knowledge of DevOps and Cloud tools (Apigee, AWS, Kubernetes, GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Harness, CI/CD).
• Experience in designing, building, and supporting APIs.
• Ability to mentor junior developers.
• Coordination skills with stakeholders for technical decisions.
• Problem-solving and innovative thinking.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

The annual salary for this position is between $68,422– $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
