Job summary

USA Health seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician to join our Mobile, Alabama laboratory team. The role involves performing routine and complex tests, preserving patient safety, and ensuring precise documentation.

You will operate instruments, monitor quality control, and support education and performance improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates hold an Associate degree in MLT or equivalent, have completed an accredited MLT program, and are eligible for ASCP/AMT registry as MLT.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Medical Laboratory Technology is required.
• Completion of an accredited MLT program is required.
• Registry eligibility with ASCP or AMT as MLT is required or substitution allowed.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine, timed, and STAT moderate/high complexity laboratory tests.
• Maintains accurate records and documentation of results and actions.
• Operates laboratory instruments and maintains calibration and quality control.
• Draws blood specimens when required and follows safety procedures.
• Communicates results to physicians and healthcare team per protocol.
• Participates in education activities and quality improvement efforts.
