Qualifications

• Must hold Florida Public Health Technician License.
• Bachelor's of Science is preferred.
• Knowledge of HIV testing protocols and QA/QC processes.
• Ability to work on-call and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform HIV-1 NAAT testing and QA/QC per protocol.
• Perform and report Serology testing as required.
• Assist in specimen login, sorting, and processing for HIV testing.
• Remove brain tissue from animals and test for rabies using fluorescence microscopy.
• Respond to on-call requirements during weekends/holidays.
• Participate in program studies including processing and shipping specimens.
• Perform quality control duties and proficiency testing.
