Job summary

Family-Health-Care-of-Siouxlan is seeking a Lab Technician to provide professional team-based care in a clinic laboratory. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, basic laboratory testing, and supporting the continuum of care and patient education within a patient-centered medical home.

The role requires phlebotomy experience or training, HS diploma or GED, and strong attention to quality control and documentation in a clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from high school or GED.
• Phlebotomy experience or certification preferred.
• Word processing and computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood specimens by venipuncture, arterial, or capillary puncture and label for testing.
• Perform routine lab procedures in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, and serology.
• Adhere to quality control policies and maintain documentation of calibrations and maintenance.
• Follow procedures when test systems are out of acceptable range and document actions.
• Identify problems affecting test results and notify supervisor or director as needed.
• Perform duties in all departments as qualified and assist as required.
• Support patient education and care as part of the clinic team.
