Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking Adjunct Clinical and Lab Nursing faculty for PRN, travel within the Boise area to observe student performance during clinical rotations and labs. The role reinforces didactic content and evaluates student progress while collaborating with faculty to ensure clinical objectives are met.

The ideal candidate will have a BSN (or higher) with relevant certifications, 3+ years in Complex/Critical Care, and a current multi-state RN license.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in multi-state (compact) and unencumbered.
• BSN with 9 graduate credits in any graduate program or approved national certification.
• Minimum 3 years in Complex Care / Critical Care with BSN.
• Masters in Nursing preferred with 2 years direct patient care in complex/critical care.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content and teach needed nursing knowledge and skills.
• Collaborate with content-area faculty for evaluation and documentation of student progress toward objectives.
• Participate in grading written assignments and clinical performance check-offs.
• Stay current with trends in nursing practice and accreditation requirements.
• Travel within Boise area to observe student performance during clinicals and labs.
• Uphold nursing tenets, the Doctrinal/ETH position statements and Grand Canyon University Mission.
• Provide a positive example to students and support community service aligned with the institution.
