Qualifications

• Preferred: Master’s or higher in Nursing with 2 years of direct Med/Surg patient care.
• Minimum: BSN with proof of at least 9 credits/3 classes in any graduate program OR approved national certification in the content area.
• Minimum of 3 years’ recent work experience in Med/Surg or Complex Care/Critical Care nursing with a BSN.
• Active, current, unencumbered, multi-state RN license.
• Must pass a drug test and competency testing.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content and teach knowledge and skills for pre-licensure nursing.
• Collaborate with content area faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward clinical objectives.
• Participate in grading written and clinical performance check-offs.
• Remain current with trends in nursing practice and accreditation requirements.
• Travel to GCU student sites to observe student performance.
• Support the university program in alignment with the institution’s philosophy and mission.
