Job summary

Jackson North Medical Center, part of Jackson Health System, seeks a Clinical Lab Manager to oversee human and material resources and deliver laboratory outcomes aligned with quality and excellence. The role supports department and organization budgeting and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities include updating procedures, evaluating staff, coordinating IT and instrumentation projects, ensuring licensure/compliance, and producing performance analytics for lab directors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
• 5 to 7 years of related experience. Management experience is required.
• Experience in clinical laboratory management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and updates work area procedure manuals on an annual basis.
• Assures completion and presentation of employee performance evaluations on or before due dates.
• Maintains communication with supervisors and staff on scheduled and non-scheduled bases.
• Monitors equipment upkeep and inventory of supplies.
• Leads lab IT projects and test validations; coordinates with IT.
• Coordinates inspections and licensure processes; maintains compliance.
• Provides staff training and motivates teamwork.
• Creates performance analytics reports for lab directors and supervisors.
