Freenome in California is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Associate I to support the Analytical Laboratory team. You will handle sample processing, equipment maintenance, labeling, and workflow support under supervision, contributing to high-quality patient-focused results.

Role requires 0–1 year in a clinical lab, strong attention to detail, and teamwork. Two shifts available, with onboarding for the second shift and potential extended hours during ramp-up periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment maintenance according to SOPs for machines and devices (centrifuges, freezers, refrigerators, pipettors, microplate readers, Hamilton units, work cells) and assist with Hamilton automated procedures.
• Create sample batches, print labels, and label tubes and plates.
• Maintain inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment in the lab.
• Document corrective actions when test systems deviate from specifications.
• Assist CLSs with preparation, aliquoting, testing, QC/QA, and training of staff.
• Support internal audits, inspection prep, and cross-departmental projects.
• Set up work cells and maintain quality/workflow; ensure on-time calibration of equipment.
