St. Anthony North Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support specimen processing and intake in the laboratory. You will perform specimen handling, venous and capillary blood collection, and, when qualified, CLIA-waived or moderately complex testing to ensure timely results for patients.

You will work closely with the Clinical Lab team, maintain accuracy, and follow established policies while prioritizing safety and efficient workflow within a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS-CPR certification within 90 days.
• Preferred: Lab Assistant Program certification.
• Preferred: Phlebotomy program certificate.
• Preferred: six months experience in an acute care facility.

Responsabilités

• Process and intake specimens and perform clerical duties.
• Perform venous and capillary blood collections.
• Conduct CLIA-waived or moderately complex testing under supervision.
• Maintain accuracy and teamwork while following procedures.
• Ensure specimens are handled and documented for send-out testing.
