Northside Hospital is seeking a phlebotomist to handle lab data collection, collect specimens from inpatients and outpatients, and perform non-technical specimen processing and distribution. The role requires a phlebotomy credential, a high school diploma or higher, and at least two years of related experience.

Color acuity screening is required, and candidates should be able to work with accuracy in a fast-paced clinical environment, ensuring proper test charging and documentation.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED or post-secondary education.
• Clinical training in phlebotomy or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in specimen collection or related.
• Phlebotomy Certification (valid).
• Color acuity screening test required.

Responsabilidades

• Handles laboratory data collection systems and equipment to ensure proper ordering, cancellation and charging of tests.
• Performs specimen collection procedures for inpatients and outpatients.
• Performs non-technical specimen processing, preparation and distribution of specimens from patients.
