Atlantic Health System is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant to support the Laboratory department under supervision. The role focuses on timely specimen processing, documentation, safety, and cross-department support to ensure efficient workflows.

The CL Assistant will assist with registration, test ordering, specimen labeling, and basic equipment maintenance, while following established SOPs and PPE protocols.

Competenze

• Must have High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced lab setting.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and PPE.

Mansioni

• Register patients and order tests; verify patient information and ensure timely specimen handling.
• Prepare and label specimens; ensure proper storage and processing per guidelines.
• Assist with loading samples and basic maintenance of lab equipment.
• Utilize HIS/LIS systems for job-related tasks and documentation.
• Support training of new staff and students; complete continuing education as required.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace; document SOPs.
