Job summary

You will follow CLIA and state regulations, handle pre-analytical tasks, and support licensed staff across pathology, microbiology, immunology, hematology, and blood bank operations. Responsibilities include specimen collection with proper certification, clerical duties, and ensuring quality control under supervision.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Active California Phlebotomy Technician I or II license required for phlebotomy.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• BLS certification within forty-five days of hire and maintained.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow CLIA and California regulations for laboratory work.
• Unlicensed personnel limited to pre-analytical and supportive tasks.
• Perform specimen collection and clerical duties under supervision.
• Prepare and process specimens across multiple departments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas and equipment.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting as trained.
