Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist for per-diem, day-shift coverage. The role reports to the General Laboratory Supervisor and performs high-complexity procedures across multiple lab sections, including blood bank/transfusion services.

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's Degree and California CLS license upon hire. Preferred candidates have 2 years of post-licensure Generalist or Microbiologist experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• California CLS license required upon hire.
• 2 years of experience after licensure as Generalist or Microbiologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity procedures in at least three laboratory sections, including blood bank/transfusion services.
• Maintain and ensure the highest quality care and patient satisfaction.
• Support a Magnet-recognized nursing and patient-care environment by providing accurate laboratory results.
