Job summary

Adventist Health Tulare is seeking a part-time Laboratory Assistant to support quality control and patient specimen processing. You will operate, troubleshoot, and maintain waived and moderate complexity analyzers, collect blood specimens, and assist with registration and test ordering within the lab information system.

You will promote patient safety and privacy while delivering reliable results. You will guide Lab Assistants, coordinate specimen handling, and ensure accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required in CA; associate degree preferred
• Two years' relevant clinical laboratory experience preferred
• CPT license preferred

Responsibilities

• Loads QC and patient specimens onto analyzers and ensures accuracy
• Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques
• Maintains and troubleshoots basic lab equipment and analyzers
• Performs pre- and post-analytic tasks and documents results
• Guides Lab Assistants to promote workflow efficiency and rapid problem resolution
