Job summary

Hanker Systems, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Assistant for the Clinical Laboratory in Willits, CA. The role supports phlebotomy and specimen processing on day shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM).

Responsibilities include collecting blood specimens by venipuncture and capillary techniques, labeling and accessioning samples, and entering orders into the lab information system. Compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA is required.

Qualifications

• Active California CPT-I or CPT-II license required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Acute care laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens through venipuncture and capillary techniques.
• Receive, label, accession, and process laboratory specimens.
• Enter patient information and laboratory orders into computer systems.
• Perform centrifugation and specimen preparation for testing.
• Verify specimen integrity and prioritize urgent samples.
• Maintain accurate records and laboratory supplies.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and infection control standards.
