Job summary

Adventist Health Howard Memorial in Willits, CA is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support quality control and patient testing with waived and moderate complexity analyzers. You will collect blood specimens, assist phlebotomists, and ensure accurate registration and reporting in the lab information system.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting analyzers, maintaining supplies, guiding Lab Assistants, and adhering to privacy and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• CA- required high school education.
• Associate degree or technical degree preferred.
• Two years' clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) license preferred.
• Phlebotomy Tech CPTII required; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Loads quality control and patient specimens onto analyzers and performs start-up checks.
• Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques and handles specimens.
• Packages and processes specimens for transport and enters orders in LIS.
• Provides guidance to Lab Assistants to improve workflow and resolve issues.
• Performs basic maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory analyzers.
• Maintains records and ensures privacy and safety per regulations.
