Job summary

MarinHealth Medical Center is seeking a Laboratory Assistant I/II/III to procure blood specimens and support processing in a busy hospital lab. You will perform venous, arterial, and capillary draws and assist licensed staff in a variety of tasks across specimen processing and patient care.

The role requires physical capability, attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Training progression is outlined for Lab Assistant levels, with opportunities to advance within Laboratory

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months to one year as Lab Assistant I or equivalent in a healthcare setting.
• Arterial puncture and EKG experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Procures venous, arterial and capillary blood samples for inpatient and outpatient needs.
• Processes specimens and operates laboratory equipment as required by section.
• Performs electrocardiograms and supports licensed staff as directed.
• Registers outpatients or drop-off specimens and maintains accurate records.
