Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent required.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of a CLIA-related program is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory for departmental functions.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Exhibits basic problem solving to ensure patient care quality.
• Handles on-call responsibilities and hospital communications as assigned.
• Demonstrates professional judgment when dealing with clients and coworkers.
• Performs clerical tasks and documents critical communications as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality of personal and lab information.
• Participates in coverage for holidays, evenings, and weekends.
