Job summary

TriCore, New Mexico’s largest laboratory, is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant at Woodward/Chemistry Automation. The role involves performing one or more modalities with supervision as needed and may include a paid apprenticeship for candidates without experience.

Reliable attendance and professional demeanor are essential to patient care. You will manage supplies and inventory, assist with specimen processing and data entry, and participate in on-call coverage and holidays as required.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent required.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant program or comparable training preferred.
• Immunization against Hepatitis B or waiver, plus required PPD testing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients with courteous service.
• Maintain supplies and inventory necessary to perform departmental functions.
• Assist in on-call duties and hospital communications.
• Demonstrate professional judgment in client interactions.
• Perform clerical tasks and document calls when needed.
