Job summary

TriCore, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant for PRN work at Woodward/Microbiology in New Mexico. The role requires independent work with minimal supervision and may include an apprenticeship for those without experience.

Regular attendance during scheduled hours is essential. Minimum education is a high school diploma or equivalent; preferred certifications include PBT (ASCP) or equivalent, and completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant program.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
• Completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant program or comparable training.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain supplies and inventory for department.
• Observe students and new staff as needed.
• Demonstrate problem solving for patient and client care.
• Handle hospital communications and on-call duties by location.
• Communicate effectively by phone and in person.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Participate in on-call coverage and holiday/evening/weekend rotations.
• Perform clerical tasks and document critical communications.
