Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Clinical Lab Assistant to work full-time in Lab Processing!

Position: Clinical Lab Assistant

Location: Sentara Norfolk General Hospital - Lab Processing

Shift: Full Time & Evening Shift or Night Shift

Hours: 2:00pm-10:30pm or 9:30pm-5:30am

Schedule: 40 hours/week

Overview

The primary point of contact for all specimen entry into the laboratory. Responsibilities include labeling, processing, and distributing specimens based on testing requirements. Monitors supply levels in the specimen processing area. Operates and maintains laboratory equipment. Handles internal and external customer inquiries and resolves problems. Frequently interacts with hospitals, nursing facilities, and physician offices.
