Job summary

Creswell Post Acute is seeking a cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. The role requires preparing tasteful meals, following menus, and ensuring sanitary conditions in a hospital or long-term care setting.

You will assist with meal service, record temperatures, and help train dietary staff as needed. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a ServSafe certificate preferred, and experience in similar facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ServSafe Certificate recommended.
• Experience as a cook in hospital or long-term care facility

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner.
• Prepare meals in large quantities and follow prepared menus and portion guides.
• Prepare special diets accurately as required.
• Record food temperatures for meals.
• Assist with serving meals and maintain clean serving carts.
• Supervise in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
