Job summary

Qualifications

• Must read, speak, and write English clearly.
• One year dietary/food experience preferred but not required.
• Restaurant or Long Term Care experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Review menus prior to food preparation.
• Assist in developing and coordinating department policies and manuals.
• Interpret policies to residents, visitors, and staff as needed.
• Plan regular and special diet menus as prescribed.
• Coordinate food services with other departments.
• Work with the facility’s dietitian and implement changes.
• Ensure compliance with established food service procedures.
