Job summary

SGS is seeking a Jr. Clinical Investigator to oversee clinical research for consumer products involving healthy paid volunteers. You will develop studies, write protocols, and ensure adherence to SOPs, GCP, and FDA regulations.

The role requires ensuring subject rights and safety are paramount throughout all trials. You will collaborate with sponsors, IRB, and study staff, manage training and documentation, and help maintain study SOPs and compliance programs.

Qualifications

• Must possess a PhD, MD, DO, or similar post-graduate degree in Science, Medicine, or Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in a related field.
• Dermatology background, sunscreen and cosmetic testing experience a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in a related field.
• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the clinical research of consumer products involving healthy paid volunteers.
• Writes protocols, collects and reviews data, prepares progress reports, analyzes results, writes summaries and conclusions and issues reports.
• Develops, maintains and reviews SOPs; ensures SOPs are followed.
• Conducts and/or supervises studies in accordance with the protocol and SOPs.
• Protects the rights, safety and welfare of subjects.
• Interfacing with Sponsor, staff, contractors, IRB, subjects, government agencies and other units; obtaining information, documentation and signatures.
• Notifies Sponsor/IRB of changes to the protocol and documents deviations.
• Delegates duties, ensures staff credentials and training; supervises personnel.
• Provides trained staff and maintains training records for each study.
• Ensures informed consent is clear, understood, and signed by subjects.
