Job summary

MedWiz of New Jersey LLC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the Clinical Intervention Center to support pharmacist-led workflows in long-term care and post-acute settings.

You will gather documentation, coordinate follow-ups, communicate with prescribers and facility staff, and document actions in pharmacy systems while upholding HIPAA and regulatory requirements. This role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and collaborative problem-solving to ensure timely medication services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active pharmacy technician registration or license as required by location.
• At least 1 year of pharmacy technician, healthcare, or related regulated-work experience.
• Ability to work independently within established procedures and escalate outside technician scope when needed.
• Proficiency with pharmacy systems and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, prioritization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and timely turnaround.

Responsibilities

• Manage clinical intervention queues, worklists, communications, and follow-up activities per priorities.
• Gather information and documentation to support pharmacist review and interventions.
• Communicate professionally with prescribers, nursing staff, facility personnel, and partners regarding prescriptions and documentation.
• Coordinate follow-up on incomplete, missing, changed, or unresolved prescription requests.
• Review and assist with resolving routine prescription, adjudication, insurance, or processing issues.
• Document communications, actions, outstanding items, and outcomes in pharmacy systems.
• Coordinate prescription and medication information with pharmacists and other departments to ensure timely processing.
• Collaborate with Data Entry, Billing, Customer Service, Pharmacy Operations, Logistics, to resolve workflow issues.
