Job summary

Jefferson Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Informatics Support Specialist to act as a clinical and technical liaison for nursing, medical staff, and patient care areas. The role focuses on coordinating and optimizing planning, design, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of clinical information systems, with emphasis on supporting the workforce in using the EHR.

Requirements include current clinical licensure (RN, pharmacist, respiratory therapist, physical therapist, or Clinical

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college or university with a current clinical license such as RN, pharmacist, respiratory therapist, physical therapist, or Clinical Informatics experience required.
• Current CPR/BLS (Healthcare Provider) required and ACLS may be required.
• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or degree in progress with a definite graduation date.
• Coursework in information systems, healthcare informatics or a related field preferred.
• One year or more Epic experience preferred.
• Master's degree in healthcare informatics preferred.
• One year or more Health Information System background and additional Information System experience strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex clinical operations and structure processes to facilitate decision-making regarding clinical systems.
• Design information processes to ensure systems align with professional standards of practice.
• Assist with identification, evaluation, and assessment of new care delivery technology and recommend integration with workflows and systems.
• Support and assist workforce in efficiently using the EHR.

Education

Jefferson Healthcare has an exciting full-time position available as a Clinical Informatics Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Clinical Informatics Support Specialist, you will serve as a clinical and technical liaison to nursing, medical staff, and other patient care areas to coordinate and optimize various aspects of planning, design, development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of clinical information systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing complex clinical operations and structure processes to facilitate decision-making regarding clinical systems. You will also utilize your knowledge and skills of clinical practice to determine and design information processes, ensuring that information systems are consistent with professional standards of practice. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting with the identification, evaluation, and assessment of new care delivery technology, and developing recommendations on the impact of integration with existing workflows and systems.

What you'll need:

Schedule
