Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe (Clinical Informatics Specialist) in Greensboro, NC to support providers with clinical documentation in a fast-paced clinic. You will map visits into structured notes, assign CPT/ICD-10 codes, and prepare after-visit summaries while learning our value-based care model and EMR processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum typing speed of 55 WPM (70+ preferred).
• Willingness to commit a minimum of 1 year (2+ years preferred).
• Ability to work in-clinic 40-45 hours per week full-time.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Must be US work authorized.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in the exam room with structured notes (HPI, assessment, plan, exam).
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes and prepare After Visit Summaries.
• Support clinical documentation improvement and review medical records.
• Collaborate with provider during daily huddles and documentation reviews.
• Perform general administrative duties to support the care team.
