Job Description Summary

The Clinical Informatics Analyst II reports to the Manager of Clinical Informatics. Under limited supervision, the Clinical Informatics Analyst II works collaboratively with end users and Information Solutions (IS) to design and deploy clinical information technologies that support the delivery of safe and efficient patient care for large strategic initiatives. This role performs intermediate to moderately complex technical and analytical work to support clinical information systems. It also serves as a mentor to junior staff, facilitating the acquisition of informatics skills. The role collaborates with Senior Informatics leaders, other team members, and the clinical enterprise in planning, designing, developing, training, implementing, and managing projects related to Information Systems.

Additional Job Details

• Required Education/Skills/Work Experience/Licensure:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a healthcare discipline (e.g., Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Medical Technology, Respiratory, Occupational or Physical Therapy, Pharmacy) from an accredited institution; Master’s preferred.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience and 2 years in clinical informatics (developing, implementing, or supporting clinical information systems).
• Epic Certification within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Industry-recognized informatics/IT certification within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Demonstrated project management experience; PMP preferred. Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• Active licensure in discipline (RN, RT, etc.) by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, and working in various environments, including confined spaces and elevated areas.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and perform various manual tasks.
• Visual and auditory acuity, including color discrimination and peripheral vision.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and in a latex-safe environment.
