Responsible for executing and supporting the design, optimization, and sustainment of integrated clinical information systems to improve quality, safety, and operational efficiency. Applies advanced knowledge of workflow analysis, requirements gathering, and solution design aligned to evidence-based practice, interoperability standards (e.g., HL7 FHIR), and evolving market trends in EHR optimization, clinical decision support, analytics, and digital health. Collaborates with clinicians, IT, and governance groups to implement and validate solutions, ensuring data accuracy, usability, and successful adoption. Contributes to continuous improvement efforts that enhance clinical workflows, system performance, and compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of experience in healthcare clinical care, external measures, quality, and safety. Registered nurse preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
Epic certification
This position requires regular sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; performing tasks with regular repetitive motions (such as typing); intermittent standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; and occasional lifting, pushing, and/or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds or standing or walking with objects up to 25 pounds. Frequent travel between various Lexington facilities and other occasional job-related travel.
