Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Nutrition Technician responsible for all tasks involving the calculation, preparation, delivery, storage and handling of human milk and donor milk for inpatients.

The role requires 1 year of healthcare/clinical experience and an Associate’s degree; Serv-Safe certification is required within 30 days of hire. Excellent communication and mathematical skills are essential for accurate milk fortification and data analysis.

Qualifications

• 1 year of healthcare/clinical experience (may substitute required experience with equivalent years of nutrition or science specific education beyond the minimum education requirement).
• Associate’s degree required
• Serv-Safe certification required within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Uses First In, First Out procedures when storing human milk.
• Proactively manages human milk inventory to prevent wastage by ensuring milk is stored in the correct state.
• Uses Human Milk Inventory software to receive, move, prepare, and discharge milk.
• Adheres to HIPAA regulations and patient rights policies when handling patient information.
