Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a full-time Formula & Milk Technician to join the Nutrition Lab. The role involves preparing, distributing and managing human milk, donor milk and formula for pediatric patients in a non-patient-facing position.

The position requires a high school diploma and Food Handler’s Card, with preference for nutrition/clinical related coursework and prior food prep or healthcare experience. Shifts vary, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Food Handler’s Card required.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and safety policies.
• Basic math and ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Handle human milk and formula using aseptic techniques.
• Deliver and pick up to rooms/units/floors within the hospital.
• Verify feeding orders with dietitians to ensure accuracy.
• Communicate with lactation consultants, nurses and families to ensure proper use and storage of milk/formula.
• Monitor inventory, restock, rotate stock, and order supplies as needed.
• Participate in in-service programs and team meetings.
• Ensure utensils/workstations are cleaned and sanitized.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve service quality.
• Maintain confidentiality and apply hospital policies.
