Job summary

IDEAYA Biosciences seeks a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to partner with Finance and the Clinical Operations team, leading budgeting, forecasting and close for clinical trials. This onsite role is based in South San Francisco and requires four days per week onsite.

The ideal candidate brings strong GAAP knowledge, financial modeling ability, and excellent communication to drive decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent required.
• MBA or CPA preferred for advanced tracking and governance.
• 4–7 years in growth or public accounting with strong GAAP knowledge.
• Proactive communicator with strong analytical and modeling skills.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise-level FP&A: annual budget, multi-year forecast, strategic initiatives.
• Handle budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for clinical trials.
• Manage monthly close, accruals, and variance analyses for stakeholders.
• Produce Clinical Trials Metrics Forecasts and performance reporting.
• Communicate with leaders and Board; partner with CROs and clinical ops.
• Maintain SOX documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop insights from internal financial data to guide decisions.
• Utilize FP&A tools; support ad hoc tasks as needed.
• Collaborate across finance and business teams to drive results.
