Baystate Health is seeking a Part Time Exercise Physiologist for Cardiac Rehab. The role focuses on supervised exercise, ECG monitoring, education on cardiac risk factors, and psycho-social support for referred patients.
The position requires a Bachelor's in Exercise Science or related field, with 1–3 years clinical experience; BLS and ACLS within 6 months of hire; ACSM CES/RCEP preferred. Pay is based on a regional range within Baystate Health.
Summary: Responsible for providing patients referred to cardiac rehabilitation services with supervised exercise, progressive ECG monitored activity, education regarding cardiac event, disease management, risk factors, lifestyle modification and psycho-social support. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess the patient’s age specific needs and age specific treatments and care
BLS, certification is required, ACLS required within 6 months of hire ACSM CES Preferred; ACSM RCEP Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology or related field is required; Masters preferred 1 to 3 years clinical setting outpatient and inpatient.
ECG Interpretation, Arrythmia recognition. Able to work independently/autonomously and handle high volume and multiple task assignments in an organized fashion. Exceptional patient and customer service skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Displays enthusiasm and confidence with an ability to motivate self and others.

The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
