Boston Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Exercise Physiologist to provide direct patient assessment and management within the Stress Testing Laboratories and Cardiac Rehabilitation & Prevention Program. This role works under the supervision of the Operations Manager and requires collaboration with physicians, fellows, nursing, and support staff.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology or related field, with at least three months in a hospital or cardiac rehab

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

  • Provide direct patient assessment and management in the BMC Stress Testing Laboratories and Cardiac Rehabilitation & Prevention Program.
  • Explain procedures to patients and coordinate with physicians and staff to alleviate apprehensions and ensure smooth workflow.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under supervision of the Operations Manager and according to established policies and procedures, provides direct patient assessment and management in the BMC Stress Testing Laboratories and/or Cardiac Rehabilitation & Prevention Program. Position: Clinical Exercise Physiologist Department: Card Non-Invasive Testing Preston Schedule: Full Time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology or related field (or equivalent combination of education and/or related work experience).

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three months in a hospital setting as an exercise physiologist or in Cardiac Rehab setting.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Work requires knowledge to effectively utilize the Electrocardiograph, and stress testing procedures, medical terminology and basic sciences such as Physics, Math, Anatomy and Physiology. Good interpersonal skills to explain procedures to patient, and alleviate apprehensions, as well as effectively interact with physicians, fellows, nursing, etc.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Compensation Range: $24.04- $33.65. This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
