Job summary

UA Health Services Foundation is seeking a Clinical Educator, OWS to develop and oversee a comprehensive training program for procurement transplant coordinators. You will coordinate initial and ongoing training, assess clinical competencies, and collaborate with Education & Training Leadership and OWS Leadership to ensure programs meet evolving regulations.

The role requires at least two years in related clinical roles, preferred bachelor’s level education in healthcare, and familiarity with

Qualifications

Minimum two years’ experience as a procurement transplant coordinator or similar clinical role within an OPO or related ICU clinical setting.
Preferred bachelor’s level education in a clinical/healthcare field and applicable licensure.
Knowledge of policy, procedure and regulatory issues governing organ procurement.
Experience in precepting or supervising staff is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate a procurement transplant coordinator training program.
Lead initial, ongoing and annual training and competencies for PTCs with input from Education & Training and OWS Leadership.
Assess, develop and present clinical competencies for clinical and non-clinical staff involved in donation services.
Update education programs and advise OWS leadership on policy changes and regulatory requirements.
