Job summary

Union Health invites applications for a Clinical Educator in Terre Haute, IN. The role collaborates with RN educators and nurse leaders to design and execute clinical growth and professional development plans within Union Hospital.

The educator leads unit education, orientations, and ongoing staff development to enhance patient care and nursing excellence. Qualifications include current IN RN license; MSN preferred with MSN completion within 3 years if pursuing BSN; specialty certification

Qualifications

• Current IN RN license required.
• MSN preferred; if BSN only, MSN must be pursued with MSN completion within 3 years of hire.
• Specialty certification in clinical concentration or nursing professional development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead unit education, orient new employees and manage unit competency.
• Develop and update education plans aligned with organizational goals.
• Support Nurse Residency and professional development initiatives.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to nursing staff.

The Clinical Educator plays a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is in at Union Health.

The clinical educator is part of a collaborative Registered Nurse educator team. Clinical Educator Details

Schedule: 40 hr/wk Full-time salaried

Shift: Days, with flexibility to meet employee and unit needs

The Clinical Educator works collaboratively with other educators, nurse leaders, and organizational groups to design and execute plans for clinical growth, professional development, and engagement in the nursing role at Union Hospital.

  • Displays leadership qualities to guide, coach, and mentor nursing excellence and positive patient experience.

Qualification/License/Certification:

• Current IN RN license
• MSN preferred, will accept BSN working towards MSN (MSN required within 3 years of hire)
