Roxborough Memorial Hospital seeks a per diem Clinical Educator to provide clinical education and hands-on training for staff. The role supports nursing education plans, conducts IV, EKG, and phlebotomy training, and participates in unit rounding and orientation activities.
The position is ~20 hours per week, with collaborative duties alongside Nursing Directors to improve care quality and staff competency.
The Clinical Educator provides educational services for areas of clinical and patient care services to attain the Hospital's objectives, mission and values established by corporate administration. Supports corporate-wide programs, policies and procedures are developed to assess, evaluate and meet the needs of the patient. Assists with development and implementation of education plans for providing training in all clinical settings. The Clinical Educator provides hands on training for clinical staff to support the educational goals for the hospital. Implements an effective, ongoing training program to measure, assess and improve the quality of care, treatment and services delivered to all patients. The Clinical Educator shall work collaboratively with the Nursing Directors to provide educational services to staff.
The Per Diem Educator can expect about 20 hours per week on average.
Expectation is to own certain facets of nursing education:
Additional duties include:
Rounding on the units when on site usually 1-2 hours
Assist in the competency skills nursing fair 4 times a year: 2 are 8 hour days, 2 are 4 hour days
Assist with orientation two times a month generally, the 1st and 3rd weeks of the month
Provide shift coverage and operational support as needed.
