Job summary

AdventHealth in Orange City, Florida, is seeking an experienced clinical educator to lead training, center inspections, and staff competency programs across our facilities.

The role requires 2+ years in a clinical setting, teaching, CPR/BLS certification, and strong communication and IT skills. Some travel to multiple states may be needed; excellent teamwork and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of general clinical practices and nursing/lab principles
• Strong critical thinking skills and professional clinical competency
• Good organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Proficiency with computers, copiers, faxes, and scanners
• Ability to work with diverse staff and manage multiple tasks
• Proficiency in Word/PowerPoint, Excel and basic IT
• Knowledge of accreditation standards and regulatory compliance
• Self-directed with initiative for educational program development
• Autonomous work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Conducts monthly center inspections including nursing visits, diagnostics, pharmacy inspections, and engineering/work practice monitoring
• Tracks corrective actions related to inspections
• Performs new hire training and post-training assessments
• Assists with ongoing clinical in-service education and remediation
• Participates in root-cause analysis for Origami events
• Performs quality control reporting and reviews laboratory quality control actions
• Assists with new center openings and travel to multiple states as needed
• Maintains communication with clinical staff and center managers
• Troubleshoots and resolves equipment issues
• Completes special assignments to ensure smooth department operations including travel
• Serves as BAT/DUA instructor and certifies staff and recertifications every 5 years
• Performs other duties as assigned
