The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Director of Simulation to lead READY RURAL’s simulation-based healthcare education.

This role provides leadership for simulation strategy, academic assessment, technology integration, faculty development and competency-based evaluation across simulation and Virtual Care-enabled learning environments. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Education, Assessment, Curriculum and Instruction, Health Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or related field (Required).
• Experience coordinating academic programs, assessment activities, simulation programs, curriculum initiatives, or teaching and learning support services (Required).
• Experience supporting assessment planning, data collection, reporting, accreditation, program review, or quality improvement activities (Required).
• Experience with collaborating with faculty, academic programs, staff, and internal or external stakeholders (Required).
• Strong communication, consultation, organization, and analytical skills (Required).

Job Duties:

Join the READY RURAL team and play a key leadership role inadvancing innovative, simulation-based healthcare education thatprepares learners for today's evolving workforce. The AssistantDirector of Simulation provides leadership for simulation strategy,academic assessment, technology integration, faculty development,and competency-based evaluation across READY RURAL's simulation andVirtual Care-enabled learning environments.

In this collaborative leadership role, you will work closely withfaculty, healthcare partners, and campus stakeholders to ensuresimulation experiences are aligned with curricular outcomes,professional competencies, accreditation standards, workforceneeds, and grant objectives. You will help shape and coordinatesimulation initiatives, oversee assessment and quality assuranceprocesses, support technology-enabled learning, and provideconsultation and professional development that promotes excellencein simulation-based education.

The Assistant Director will coordinate simulation operations,including lab and Virtual Care scheduling, equipment readiness, andtechnology integration, while supporting innovative teaching,competency tracking, learner assessment, and outcomes reporting.This position also plays a vital role in collecting and analyzingdata for grant reporting, accreditation, continuous qualityimprovement, and workforce readiness initiatives.

• Health plans, currently starting at $45 per month.
• 176 hours of vacation per year (prorated for start date).

This position is funded through the READY RURAL grant and isinitially offered as a one-year fixed-term appointment. Opportunityfor renewal past the initial year is possible depending on grantfunding and satisfactory performance.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Plans, executes, and evaluates data collection initiatives, andmaintains management and collection resources
• Serves as a subject matter expert and liaison to internal andexternal stakeholders
• Collects, prepares, and analyzes data, and preparesreports
• Continuously improves methods and processes for assessmentinstrument development
• Manages complex databases and performs analyses of large datasets
• May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring,transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct andperformance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining,and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalentemployees
• Provides operational guidance on the implementation of new orrevised institutional operational policies and procedures forlearning and programmatic assessment

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Education, Assessment,Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Technology, HealthSciences, Nursing, Public Health, or related field
• Experience coordinating academic programs, assessmentactivities, simulation programs, curriculum initiatives, orteaching and learning support services.
• Experience supporting assessment planning, data collection,reporting, accreditation, program review, or quality improvementactivities.
• Experience working collaboratively with faculty, academicprograms, staff, and internal or external stakeholders.
• Strong communication, consultation, organization, andanalytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Healthcare Education, Assessment, Curriculumand Instruction, Nursing, Health Sciences, Educational Technology,Public Health, or related field.
• Experience in healthcare simulation, Virtual Care, telehealtheducation, interprofessional education, or competency-basededucation.
• Experience with accreditation processes in nursing, healthprofessions, healthcare simulation, or higher education.
• Experience using assessment management systems, learningmanagement systems, simulation management systems, dashboards, ordata visualization tools.
• Simulation certification or relevant training such as CHSE,CHSOS, or equivalent experience.
