Job summary

Midwestern University’s Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine seeks a Clinical Education Support Manager at the Glendale campus. You will oversee Clinical Education Coordinators, lead process improvements, and provide backup in clerkship and rotation support.

You will coordinate with rotation sites, monitor compliance and performance, and participate in annual reviews. The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration within academic medicine.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of management or supervisory experience in academic medicine or healthcare education.
• Proven ability to establish positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience building and working effectively within a team with a customer service focus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Clinical Education Coordinators to provide leadership and process improvement.
• Enhance customer service in student and preceptor interactions.
• Review processes for uniformity and optimal function in the department.
• Interface with rotation sites to facilitate student rotations.
• Develop and implement new approaches to clinical clerkship experiences.
• Monitor compliance and performance trends for ongoing improvement.
• Maintain and track hospital paperwork and affiliation agreements.
• Lead coordinator meetings and assign coordinators to committees.
• Report to the Associate Dean and Department Chairs on rotation status.
• Participate in annual performance reviews for coordinators.
• Provide cross-coverage for the payment processor within the department.
