Oak Street Health is seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist (Medical Scribe) to support primary care providers with real-time documentation. You will observe visits, document encounters, and help with structured notes and coding to ensure accurate and timely records.

The role emphasizes value-based care documentation, collaboration with the care team, and ongoing training in clinical workflows. Full-time in-clinic hours with benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Ability to type 70+ words per minute.
• Willingness to learn new clinical workflows.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in real time and in structured notes.
• Join providers in exam rooms to observe visits and document.
• Assign appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Prepare After Visit Summaries.
• Support clinical documentation improvement initiatives.
• Review and request medical records as needed.
• Support daily huddles and clinical documentation reviews.
• Provide administrative support to the care team.
