Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Clinic Documentation Quality Improvement (CDQI) Specialist to elevate medical record documentation accuracy and coding specificity. You will conduct daily evaluations, engage with providers, and influence DRG-based reimbursement outcomes to improve patient care data quality.

Candidates should have 3+ years CDI experience, an RN license with a BSN, and CCDS/CDIP certification. A minimum of 15 hours per week availability is required, with on-site collaboration in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• CDI experience of 3+ years with documentation quality improvement.
• Clinical nursing experience in an academic medical center.
• RN license and Bachelor’s in Nursing required.
• CCDS or CDIP certification required.
• Ability to pass a CDI skills competency assessment.
• Available to commit at least 15 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Collaborate with physicians to ensure appropriate DRG-based reimbursement.
• Educate clinicians on documentation and coding guidelines.
• Query providers for missing or unclear information.
• Maintain daily production logs and follow-up reviews.
