Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review medical records to identify, assess, and document claims and encounter coding for risk adjustment.
• Ensure diagnosis codes for chronic/major conditions are captured and submitted on time.
• Query providers to obtain documentation for accurate coding.
• Audit ICD-10 codes and quality metrics for CMS compliance.
• Apply coding principles to code with highest specificity per CMS rules.
• Safeguard medical records and ensure HIPAA privacy and security compliance.
