Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a skilled Medical Coder with HCC experience to ensure accurate risk adjustment coding and documentation across physician practices. You will review records, query clinicians, and support credential maintenance while collaborating with care teams to uphold compliance.

Responsibilities include chart reviews, Epic HCC analysis, and timely education of physicians on documentation improvements to optimize risk adjustment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Five plus years experience in Coding and Billing with knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT.
• Certification in CPC, CCS-P or CRC is required.
• Strong understanding of CMS risk adjustment guidelines and HCCs.

Responsibilities

• Reviews medical records to ensure all diagnosis codes are documented for valid HCCs.
• Reviews Epic HCC and payor CSI reports regularly.
• Queries physicians to improve documentation accuracy and risk adjustment coding.
• Maintains active coding credentials and completes annual continuing education hours.
• Maintains professional relationships with Physician Practices and Managed Care teams.
