Job summary

Tufts Medicine seeks a Medical Scribe to support physicians in the outpatient clinic. You will document patient histories, exams, medications, and procedures in real time, enabling clinicians to focus more on patient care while maintaining accurate records in the EMR.

Responsibilities include accompanying physicians in exam rooms, recording history, documenting lab and radiology results, and supporting data entry and confidentiality under HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Enrolled in undergraduate university studies.
• One year of experience in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Document the physician's dictated patient history, past medical history, medications and allergies.
• Document the physical examination findings and any procedures performed.
• Record diagnoses, lab and radiology results as instructed by the physician.
• Accompany the physician in the exam room and assist with patient interviews.
• Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant records and support data entry and charting.
