Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Director of Nursing in Dallas to oversee nursing services across locations. This leadership role ensures regulatory compliance, manages operations, and delivers high-quality patient care while guiding the nursing team and collaborating with the Area Clinical Director.

The role involves coordinating staff, reviewing referrals, ensuring documentation accuracy, and supporting growth initiatives. In-office with travel to patients’ homes; full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• RN with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Active Nursing License required.
• Minimum of one year of management experience.
• CPR certification and valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Assign patients to nursing coordinators and RN supervisors.
• Maintain communication with families and physicians.
• Review referrals and determine appropriate nursing care.
• Monitor patient care and care coordination.
• Oversee staffing patterns for proper coverage.
• Ensure compliance with Nurse Practice Act and regulations.
• Supervise staff performance and provide feedback.
• Support development of the IOP Plan and policy updates.

Schedule:

In-office position with regular travel to patients' homes (mileage reimbursement). Full time, Monday - Friday schedule, standard office hours.

Essential Job Functions

• Assign patients to nursing coordinators and/or RN supervisors
• Maintain effective communication with families and physicians
• Review new referrals and recommend appropriate nursing care
• Monitor clinical status and care coordination of patients
• Ensure the quality and appropriateness of patient care
• Oversee staffing patterns to ensure proper coverage
• Ensure compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and relevant regulations
• Supervise and evaluate staff performance based on job goals
• Contribute to and support the development of the IOP Plan
• Keep RN supervisors/clinical care managers informed about policies and procedures
• Assist in hiring, orientation, and education of registry nurses as needed
• Stay current on third-party payer rules and regulations
• Support marketing initiatives and maintain budget awareness
• Facilitate interdepartmental communication and collaboration
• Provide direct patient care when necessary
• Participate in administrative and clinical calls
• Conduct on-site visits to assess patient care, environment, and caregiver performance

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Active Nursing License
• Minimum of one year of management experience
• Relevant clinical or work experience as required by state and federal regulations
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in pediatrics/neonatal care
• At least one year of home care experience
• CPR Instructor certification
